Whole-home comfort, planned around your space
Ducted air conditioning distributes conditioned air from a central indoor unit through ducts and ceiling outlets. For a Brisbane home, the design needs to account for heat, humidity, insulation, room layout and available ceiling space. DEZ Group can discuss your property and arrange the next step towards a suitable installation quote.
What affects the right ducted system?
Floor area alone does not determine capacity. Ceiling height, glazing, sun exposure, insulation and the rooms you intend to cool all matter. An assessment also considers where the indoor and outdoor units can go, drainage, access for servicing, electrical requirements and duct routes.
Zoning can help direct airflow to the areas being used. The system still needs adequate airflow through open zones and a suitable return-air arrangement. Discuss the controls, minimum operating zones and temperature expectations with your installer before choosing a layout.
What should an installation quote cover?
Ask for the proposed model and capacity, outlet locations, zoning and controller details, installation scope, any electrical work, access requirements and exclusions. Confirm whether removal of an existing system, repairs to ceilings and other building work are included. Warranty terms and ongoing service requirements should be clear before approving the quote.
Ducted or split system?
A ducted system can suit a property where several rooms need a coordinated solution. Individual split systems may be more practical when only a few rooms need air conditioning or ceiling access is limited. The best choice depends on the property, intended usage and budget. Compare the installation scope and likely running pattern rather than choosing by purchase price alone.
